The upcoming JRPG Fairy Tail from Koei Tecmo and Gust has been delayed from its previously announced release in March. The game was originally planned to release on March 19 in Europe and Japan and the day after in North America. And yesterday producer Keisuke Kikuchi released an apology stating his honest reason regarding the game’s delay and its new release dates.

The game’s new release dates will be on June 25 for Japan and Europe while North America will have it on June 26, a day after its release in Japan and Europe.

I am truly sorry for Fairy Tail‘s delay, and the inconvenience caused to our fans, partners, and stakeholders who are looking forward to this title. Please allow us to take further time to polish the game to ensure it is as high quality as possible, so we can offer you a truly immersive experience.

We will be working hard to enhance the magic effects, event scene effects, improving the game balance, and more! We will talk about the improvements in more detail in the coming months. This delay will allow us to ensure we provide you a much more satisfying game. Thank you for your understanding.

The message above pointed out the producer, as well the developer’s wish to enhance the game further to provide only the best Fairy Tail experience to everyone.

To everyone who’s waiting for the game, don’t be sad and remember the quote from Shigeru Miyamoto “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”?

Let’s wait a little more and marked that date, June 25 for Japan and Europe and June 26 for North America. Fairy Tail is still available for pre-order here at Playasia.

Game Overview

What to Expect?

According to the Japanese gaming magazine, the main story of the game will last for about 30-hours long. Take note, that 30 hours of gameplay is for the main story alone. Plus, the game also features side contents including character episodes and special costumes which means the gameplay will go over 30 hours. Well, get ready to kiss goodbye to plenty of hours of your life, folks.

For the first time in the series, Fairy Tail will feature game-unique stories that are never seen before in the original manga or anime such as requests related to characters. Choose among more than 10 playable characters and costumes.
