Nioh 2: Something You Need to Know about its Post-Launch DLC
PlayStation 4™ – US, EU, JAPAN & ASIA
Now that Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo‘s action RPG, Nioh 2 has finally gone gold, March 12 really can’t come soon enough, can it? Well, we are just a few weeks away from its release and to keep the hype for this game, here’s something you need know about its post-launch DLC.
Last month, Tom Lee, the Creative Director of Team Ninja took the PlayStation.Blog to unveil Nioh 2’s backstory and the post-launch DLC. According to the Creative Director, Nioh 2 will receive three major DLC releases after its launch. Each of the three DLC packs will possess unique storylines and “promising hours of additional gameplay that will provide plenty of challenge for those thirsting for more.”
In addition, Lee said that new weapons will be featured in the additional content along with the new combat abilities and new characters with each content having both multiple main and sub-missions.
Now, an interview with Nioh 2’s developer, Team Ninja, was seen on the latest issue of the Japanese magazine, Famitsu highlighting the game’s post-launch DLC. You can check it out below, courtesy of Siliconera.
As announced, there will be three large-scale DLC stories that will be released. Team Ninja says that there will be relatively the same amount of content as the first Nioh.
The extra stories will take place in a very different age, compared to the main game. Although it’s connected to the main story, it’s a parallel story that depicts a tale that isn’t told in the main story.
There are extra difficulties planned for the game. However, the team will make sure to not go overboard with the difficulty like in the last game, as it went to unfair levels last time.
The team plans to add around two new weapons. However, because members have run out of ideas, they’re currently collecting them from players. There’s still time to send in ideas. (laughs)
Team Ninja will be adding in post-game replayable content, like Abyss in the first Nioh, but it will be improved from before.
Nioh 2 [Special Edition] includes:
– Full game
– SteelBook case
