Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is the complete edition of the critically acclaimed game of 2014, Shovel Knight. It includes three other campaigns namely Plague of Shadows, Specter of Torment and King of Cards.
Shovel Knight is a 2D side-scrolling platform game inspired by the graphics and gameplay of the Nintendo Entertainment System platformer games. It is a sweeping classic action-adventure game series with awesome gameplay, memorable characters, and an 8-bit retro aesthetic. The game is developed and published by Yacht Club Games.
From the title itself, the game’s protagonist’s main weapon is his shovel, he can attack enemies head-on or dig-up treasure.
And during its release in 2014, the game received various nominations and awards such as The Best Independent Game in Game Awards 2014 and defined as “A brilliant homage to a bygone era, yet an equally fresh, captivating and innovative game” by Infendo.com.
