Last Pokemon Direct earlier this year, the Pokemon Company and Game Freak have revealed a huge chunk of updates that all Pokemon fans have been waiting for. And this includes the teaser of Pokemon Sword & Shield‘s expansion pass: The Isle of Armor and The Crown of Tundra.

After two months, both companies have revealed another update that fans can look forward to in Pokemon Sword & Shield via a new trailer. The video runs for over 2 minutes and highlights the Gigantamax forms of Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon.

 

In addition, it was also revealed that there will be new trainer outfits as well as new league card designs. And before the video ends, both companies introduced the player’s partner on the Isle of Armor, Kubfu! It was also highlighted there that players can choose how their Kubfu can evolve.

Release date

Game Freak’s Producer, Junichi Masuda, and director ,Shigeru Ohmori, proudly took the spotlight to represent the whole dev team to share all the important updates for Pokemon Sword & Shield. First and foremost is the expansion pass for Sword which is the Isle of Armor and the Crown of Tundra for Shield. The Isle of Armor is scheduled to release sometime in June 2020 and The Crown of Tundra in Fall 2020. If you own either the Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, you’ll be able to enjoy the two expansion pass once released.

According to the developers, each part of the game offers unique adventures where you can discover unseen areas of the Galar region and meet its people and Pokemon inhabitants. You might also want to keep in mind that there are two versions of the expansion pass. One expansion pass for Pokemon Sword and one for Pokemon Shield. You will encounter various sets of characters and pokemon depending on the base game that you own. Plus, it is also worth noting that you can jump straight into the two expansions with your existing save data.

More information for the two expansion pass has been revealed by Game Freak’s expansion pass director, Hiroyuki Tani in the later part of the live stream. The expansion pass director shared with the public a sneak peek of the expansion pass’ design and concept to intensify the level of excitement that you have now.
