Paper Mario: The Origami King

Nintendo of America got everyone so hyped with its recently released trailer of the upcoming Switch game, Paper Mario: The Origami King. But not because of the game, but because of the presumably “Metroid” teaser at the end of the video.

In the video, we can see Mario in Paper Mario: The Origami King wearing Samus’ helmet that is about thrice the size of his head. From the looks of it, when the helmet was placed into his head, he started acting like he’s battling with someone.

Well, that’s all we got for now from Nintendo and it looks like we’re getting an official announcement soon. As of the moment, many of the game’s fans are left with a big question mark. Some say it might be a teaser of a new Metroid game, confirmation of Metroid Prime Trilogy Collection, Metroid Prime 4 and so much more.

The papercraft role-playing game series, Paper Mario is back! For the very first time in the series, Mario will embark on a new journey on the Nintendo Switch. Yes, you read that right. The N64 classic game is finally coming to the modern console of Nintendo as Paper Mario: The Origami King.

And guess what? It’s coming sooner than everyone’s expected. Nintendo uncovered that Paper Mario: The Origami King will land on Switch on July 17th. Furthermore, the announcement was accompanied by a reveal trailer that lasted for over 2 minutes. So, are you ready to take on a new adventure in the paper-thin world but a fun-filled adventure in Paper Mario: The Origami King?

More so, here’s how Nintendo describes the game’s story:

Mario and Luigi receive an invitation from Princess Peach to attend an origami festival and excitedly hurry to Toad Town…but something’s amiss. After investigating the eerily empty town, the duo finds a fearsome (and folded) Princess Peach—she’s been turned into origami by King Olly, ruler of the Origami Kingdom! With five giant streamers under his control, King Olly binds Princess Peach’s Castle and transports it to a distant mountain as part of his plan to re-fold the world.

On his journey to liberate Peach’s Castle and repair the ravaged paper landscape, Mario meets Olivia, King Olly’s sister, and the two join forces to put a stop to Olly’s origami onslaught. Even Bowser falls victim to Olly’s plot when his minions are turned into origami Folded Soldiers and betray their Koopa king, forcing him to ally with Mario and Olivia!
