Normally considered as individuals on the margins of society; the outlaws are often isolated in order to protect the communities from the wrongdoings who can undermine their stability.
For example; in ancient Rome, and in medieval England they were deprived of all the rights. And all the possessions of outlaws were confiscated to the rulers. Surely the most famous outlaw of all time is Robin Hood, but human history is full of individuals that help the poor to fight against oppression and injustice; anyway, it is worth mentioning some other good villains (or bad heroes) that through the centuries left their marks as protectors of the hopeless.

For example, maybe you’ve heard of Spartacus; the ex-gladiator who led successfully a slave revolt between 73 and 71 BC. Or how can we forget the 108 outlaw brave heroes of the Chinese classic novel’s Shui Hu Zhuan (a.k.a. Outlaws of the Marsh). Set during the Song dynasty, this opus tells the story of how this band of anti-heroes fought against the Emperor, and his army to struggle against the corrupted system to defend the life and dignity of the poor and the helpless.

Stories of heroic outlaws are daily matters, and to enrich their epicness, the Seattle based developing company V1 Interactive has created a new story of rebellion set in the far future; a story that will give you the opportunity to stop an oppressive regime for the sake of the humankind.
