Sega has revealed another exciting product as part of its 60th-anniversary project. This time, the company shared that they will be bringing back the legendary Sega arcade “Astrocity”. And this year it will be revived as “Astro City Mini”. Wherein you can now enjoy the excitement of the arcade at that time in the palm of your hand.
What is “Astrocity”?
“Astrocity” is an arcade chassis that was launched in 1993. In addition, it is the first resin chassis that draws a line from the chassis that has been designed only by sheet metal processing. It is lightweight and an innovative arcade chassis that has been supported by many game arcades nationwide and about 50,000 have been introduced. The world’s first 3D fighting game “Virtua Fighter” installed in “Astrocity” has created a movement in the arcade. – Sega JP
Description and Features
Aside from the arcade itself, Sega also comes up with a control pad that goes well with the Astro Mini City’s color and function.

This arcade was faithfully designed after the arcade chassis “Astrocity” in 1/6 size. The main body is reproduced with resin, similar to the “Astrocity” resin case. With recorded titles such as “Virtua Fighter” which is a monument of video game history, and deliver the original design as it is in the palm-size. In addition, the operation buttons are small, but it is the same material used on the actual “Astrocity” machine.
