In addition to these; there is also another series who brings to light the hidden horror sides of schools: Corpse Party!
Created by the indie company Kenix Soft using the first RPG Maker for NEC PC-9801; this survival horror adventure has been presented on the Japanese magazine LOGIN Sofcom No.6, reaching in 1997 the second place during the annual ASCII ENTERTAINMENT competition.

Due to its huge quality, immersive story, and unforgettable atmosphere; through the years many gaming sequels have been developed. And horrors who are lurking behind the walls of the Kisaragi Academy came out from the digital world appearing also in manga, OVA, novels, Drama CDs, and also a full-length live-action movie.

Part ghost story, part coming-of-age drama; this is a memorable, touching tale of a young girl called Ayumi Shinozaki which mission is to retrieve a black magic book known as the Book of Shadows before the evil ones get it to plunge the world into a nightmarish abyss.
