The second title revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct is a sequel to the original 3DS title, Monster Hunter Stories.

During the recent Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase broadcast, Capcom announced two new titles arriving in the Monster Hunter series. Yesterday, we covered the first title revealed in the presentation which is Monster Hunter Rise, where you hunt and defeat ferocious monsters. This time, it’s not about hunting and slaying monsters, but living in harmony with them instead.

If you’re a long-time fan of the series, you probably know what game is this. And yes, it’s the sequel to the beloved original 3DS game, Monster Hunter Stories. Introducing, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Game Overview

In Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, you play the role of a Monster Rider who raises and live in harmony with monsters. Travel the world with your monster companion as you ride on them exploring a vast, and exciting world.

Tackle quests and experience a rich and emotional story set in the monster hunter universe.

The story begins when a mass disappearance of Rathalos from their natural habitat around the world befalls. As the story unfolds, you will have a faithful encounter with a girl who’s been entrusted with an egg.

You’ll be joined by a variety of well-known monsters from the main series. Form inseparable bonds and befriend countless Monsters once again in an all-new Monster Hunter Stories!
