Takehito Harada is the most “crazy & bizarre” artist in the video game industry; during his long career, Harada-san has portrayed cute demon gals, pigs dressed as royal family members, and many other fabulous characters who are appeared in prominent series like Disgaea, Fate/Grand Order or Phantom Brave. But, above all of them, there is a race who conquered the hearts of millions of people both in Japan and abroad… Prinnies!

The first sightings go back to seventeen years ago; more precisely to January 30, 2003, when Disgaea: Hour of Darkness appeared on PlayStation 2. At that time they were simple friendly monsters that the demon Etna exploited as mere servants. Soon after their appearance, even more gamers started to be intrigued by them; due to this reason, over the years, the creators of Disgaea gave even more visibility to these lazy, little intelligent creatures, turning them into the mascot not only of the Disgaea series but also of the whole Nippon Ichi Software.

Hailed globally as one of the most known game mascots; on par with Super Mario, Sonic, Chocobo & Dragon Quest’s Slime, Prinny has appeared in a plethora of different media including toys, fashion, anime, manga, and more. Anyway, despite its importance Prinny got a starring role only twice when Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? and Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! have been released on PSP respectively in 2008 and 2010.
Today, 11 years after the last adventure, Prinny is back to reclaim its throne among the mascot superstars; get ready to slash your way across the Netherworlds with the one and only Prinny 1•2: Exploded and Reloaded for Nintendo Switch, dood!

Prinnies Strikes Back!

Get new powers, eat all the snacks littered around the stage, and max up your combo gages and show those big guys that Prinnies are not to be looked down on.
