Visual novel fans, D3 Publisher and VRIDGE will bring the otome visual novel Bakumatsu Renka Shinsengumi for the Nintendo Switch. If you are going to grab the West release, this visual novel game will be available via Nintendo eShop with English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese subtitles.
If you are going to grab the physical version, don’t worry, folks as D3 Publisher will release the Switch physical version in Japan on June 17. Plus, the game has English subtitles. So, are you ready to explore the story of this visual novel game in June?
Game Overview
Bakumatsu Renka Shinsengumi is first launched for the PS2 in Japan in 2004 then followed by the Nintendo DS released in 2008. With the upcoming port for the Switch, this is the enhanced version with improvements and more.
According to Gematsu, D3 Publisher has released the official English press release. The English title of this game is Bakumatsu Renka Shinsengumi as the Jinchuu Houkoku no Shi is the subtitle to the Japanese title.

A girl who is the only daughter of the head of a small town dojo in Aizu. But her father who dreamed of making himself a name with the sword suddenly left. She had no choice but to close the dojo, which had a few students, and serve Teruhime, the sister-in-law of Aizu Domain daimyo Katamori Matsudaira, with the help of her mother who worked at the daimyo’s residence in Edo.
