City Connection has finally revealed the shoot ’em up collection, Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute at Shooting Game Daikanshasai 2021. It’s coming to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on September 30 in Japan. So, you better mark your calendars. Plus, this game has English language support! No need to worry about the language support, folks.

Good news, folks! City Connection has also announced that they are considering adding platforms. So, let’s wait for further announcements.

Game Overview

This shoot ’em up collection includes Cotton 2 released in 1997, Cotton Boomerang released in 1998, and Guardian Force released in 1998. These games were released for Sega Saturn and arcade. So, that’s why the title is Saturn Tribute as it pays tribute to the Sega Saturn version.

Cotton 2
It introduces Cotton’s rival Appli, the story this time deals with the disappearance of the magic “Bluewater Willow” from the Kingdom’s treasury. Cotton and Appli must now search the lands for the magic willow battling all the enemies they encounter in the way before it’s too late.
Cotton Boomerang
This is a horizontal shoot-’em-up that is part of the Cotton series games. Rather than an all-new entry into the series, it is a remixed version of Cotton 2, featuring more characters, recolored tiles, altered stage layouts, etc.
Guardian Force
Guardian Force is a side-scrolling shooter game, the player must find the fortress and destroy the Guardian dictators after it is invaded by evil forces. Fighting enemies with a variety of weapons of power-ups.
