The 2016 PC-released visual novel Hashihime of the Old Book Town is getting a Nintendo Switch port! Developer ADELTA and publisher Dramatic Create announced that the “mysterious and psychedelic” boys love visual novel is ready to be delivered to a new set of audience on December 16, 2021, in Japan.

Although the game is a Japanese release, both the developer and publisher are pleased to announce that it will be trilingual. Yes, you read that right. The game’s supported languages include Japanese, English, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional). And if you want to own a physical copy of the game, this is something you might look forward to because it will be released in both digital and physical formats.

Hashihime of the Old Book Town is known for its compelling storyline and gorgeous visuals. And to make the Nintendo Switch version even more interesting, original writer, Rinko Kurosawa adds new story events! Plus, the upcoming game also features enhanced artworks and more.

Game Overview

A pop-occult boy’s love mystery pursuing the truth behind a friend’s death.

The game brings players to Jinbochou, Tokyo in June 1922 during the Taisho Era. Follow the role of Tamamori, a young student who failed to enter the Imperial University and ended up being tossed out of his boarding house after two years due to his undisciplined attitude.

Luckily, he found a job in a bookstore where he also spends his days preparing for entrance exams and spending time with his friends.

However, strange incidents occur as the mysterious deaths of his friends befall one right after the other. What’s even more shocking is that he realized that he found himself trapped in a 3-day loop.

In this pop-occult mystery that surrounds the deaths of his friends… What is real, and what is a hallucination?
