Light has released an opening movie trailer for the “new-generation battle visual novel” Magatsu Barai. The opening movie features the theme song “Stand Straight Up”, which is sung by Masyo Shinkai, written by HaraYuka from STRIKERS with supervision by Ayumi, and composed and arranged by Hideki Higuchi. The opening movie was produced by Nirai-Kanai Studio.

Game Overview

The “Spiritshine” is a mysterious power that has existed for a long time in humanity and nature. Hayato Isurugi, an apprentice of a “Spiritualist” whose job is to master the power and exorcise the demons, enjoying a peaceful life at Shinwa Academy.
He’s making a charm with his part-time job to earn money, enjoy talking with good friends. And for thanking his sister, he secretly planning to give a gift for all she does for him. But his everyday life was shattered by the unexpected assailant.
Hayato is seriously injured trying to protect his friends while the Academy is in chaos. But on the verge of life and death, he encounters a young woman named “Magatsu”, the incarnation of an evil spirit sealed by his ancestors. It was a thousand years ago during the Heian era that the city was attacked by the Thirteen Demons. — In a form of a beautiful young woman, the calamity smiled.
