The sequel to the global hit, Ace Angler: Nintendo Switch Version, which was released in 2019 and sold over 800,000 copies worldwide; this latest title in the series is set in an aquarium-themed amusement park. The park will contain five different attractions, and features not only fishing games but also a wide variety of other fish-themed games that can be played alone or with friends. Profile: Karibu Suzuki
Born March 3, 1992 (Pisces). Blessed with a fascination for fish at an early age, Suzuki developed his own knowledge by talking to experts and through his own personal experience.
After studying the psychological impact and healing effects of tropical fish at Gakushuin University’s Graduate School, he moved on to Kitasato University, where his current postgraduate research focus is the life history of juvenile fish. Also active as headmaster of the “Umi Asobi Juku,” a community school dedicated to enjoying the beauty of the sea, he periodically visits fishing ports to collect juvenile fish specimens.
In addition to his media and event appearances, he works as a writer, photographer and videographer, and is involved in the production of fish-related displays and aquariums. Having opened a juvenile fish aquarium in July 2022, he now works as its head curator.
His written works include “Umi de girigiri ikinokottara kou narimashita” (“This is what happened after only just surviving at sea”; Kadokawa), “Ganpeki saishuu! Gyokou de deaeru yougyotachi” (“Quayside collector! Juvenile fish you can find at fishing ports”; Jam House), and “Sakanatachi kara no ouen zukan” (“Fish supporters’ encyclopedia”; Shufunotomo). CEO of Karibu Collaboration, Co. Ltd. Karibu is his real name, given to him by the famous Japanese comedian Sanma Akashiya. His standard uniform is a men’s sailor suit.
