Mark your calendars, folks! Capcom has officially announced the release date of Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. So, get ready as it’s coming on September 29.

  • Layered Weapons
    • Almost all weapons up to Free Title Update 2 (Ver.12) can be used as layered weapons!
    • Pick you favorite weapon design to spice up your hunting life!

    • A variety of downloadable content has been added, including the “Lost Code” layered weapon series (all 14 weapon types)!

  • Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak opened the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Capcom Online Program with a fiery new trailer of the rising threats facing Elgado Outpost, and the new tools at hunters’ disposal when Title Update 2 arrives on September 29. The previously announced return of Flaming Espinas from Additionally, a new tier of Anomaly Quests will be added, and will include challenging targets like Gore Magala and Espinas. Anomaly Investigations are also being expanded, with an increased level cap of 120, and new afflicted materials. Hunters crafty enough to survive the challenge will be able to unlock new options for Qurious Crafting, including added Anomaly Slots and other new upgrades for weapons. Fashion Hunters also have reason to rejoice, as Title Update 2 will introduce layered weapons. This system enables hunters to change the appearance of their weapon to combine their favorite stats and designs. Finally, this update also includes new paid DLC such as the Master Arlow layered armor set, layered weapons, gestures, poses, hairstyles, and more.

    New Event Quests will continue to arrive every week, and A-List Hunters eager for even more challenges can look forward to future title updates, as new monsters and more are just around the corner with Title Update 3 launching in late November.

    Game Overview

    Monster Hunter Rise injects a brand new take on the series. Team up and save the vast open world of the Kamura Village from the threatening Rampage. 

    So, step into the hunting ground and get ready for some hunting action! Choose from the various types of weapons and equip your armor. You can then embark on a challenging journey to save the village and defeat precarious foes. Pick up items from the fallen monsters and craft unique weapons and armors out of it. It’s your call to face the journey alone or team up with up to three of your friends in the local or online co-op play.

    • Rise to New Heights – The debut of the new “Wirebug” mechanic allows for wire-based grappling actions that can be used to scale cliffs and other hard-to-reach areas, providing new traversal and aerial attack options

On solo hunts, players can select both a Palamute and Palico to assist them, while multiplayer hunters can bring one or the other into the field
    • The Rampage – In addition to the plethora of solo and multiplayer quests, the immersive story mode will task aspiring hunters with discovering the secrets behind the puzzling “Rampage” events that threaten Kamura Village
    • Hunting Options – Play solo, or join up to three other hunters in local or online co-op play. The Nintendo Switch system also allows for hunting anywhere, anytime, and with anyone!
    • Seamless Gameplay – Featuring maps with no loading times, the continuous gameplay ensures that players will remain on their quests as soon as the hunt begins, without transitions between areas
