description
Building on the Call of Duty 4 engine, Call of Duty: World at War thrusts players into the ruthless and gritty chaos of WWII combat like never been before, and challenges them to band together to survive the most harrowing and climactic battles of WWII that led to the demise of the Axis powers on the European and South Pacific fronts. The title re-defines WWII games by offering an uncensored experience with unique enemies and combat variety, including Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks, Banzai charges and cunning cover tactics, as well as explosive on-screen action through all new cooperative gameplay.

Treyarch still in Infinity Ward's shadow
After Infinity Ward brilliantly took the Call Of Duty franchise to the modern era with CoD4, Treyarch inexplicably go back to the tired old WWII formula. Having said that, they obviously know what they'e doing and have built a solid, gore-filled shooter with a fairly dark tone. If you still haven't had enough of this era then this could be the game for you, allowing you to play in both the Pacific and European theatres of the war.
Multi-player is good fun, but again, not as good as it was in CoD4 whose engine this game shares. The inclusion of the stellar Nazi Zombies mode and the ability to play through the campaign co-operatively with friends, however, make this product an attractive purchase.
Bring on Black Ops!

This is more happy than COD MW2.
The online still plays this.
I think it to be the best in idle FPS so far.
