Item Description

It is the year 2062 and humanity is at the brink of extinction. Tiberium, the mysterious, alien crystalline structure that has infested Earth for decades and served as the primary reason for years of relentless conflict between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, is close to rendering the planet uninhabitable. Mankind is on the verge of extinction when Kane, Nod's prophetic leader, emerges from seclusion to deliver GDI the message that he has developed a system that could control Tiberium and harness its power. But he cannot build this "Tiberium Control Network" without GDI's cooperation. Thus, the two opposing factions – GDI and Nod – inevitably find themselves in desperation for the same cause: to stop Tiberium from extinguishing mankind.

After 15 years, the network is nearly complete, Tiberium is under strict control and our revitalized, newly terraformed planet is on the cusp of a new age of prosperity and progress. It is then that the world's citizens begin to seriously ponder why Kane chose to help, and what will he want in return. These questions and more lead to the dramatic final act of the Tiberium saga.

its O K A Y ...
the "constant need for internet connection" is very annoying... but, im still one of the big C&C fans in the world... Graphic + Gameplay = good... :D

Not Command and Conquer at heart
Basically the sheer point of C&C games is to build your base, and spam your enemy with units until they fall, granted more strategy but this is the core and soul of the series.

C&C 4 is the ending to a long running Tiberium Saga, but gone are the base building, replacing with more mobile bases and limited unit building

Cheesy cutscenes are still there.

However despite this, this isnt a bad game, had EA packaged this up as a different game, a non C&C game, it would of been first class, however with C&C on its front, its not worth it.

The end of the Kane saga
First of all, this game requires continuous internet connection (for anti-piracy reasons) which could be a problem for some users.

In this game, there is no more tiberium or resources to harvest - but you would need to hold and conquer control points which is much like the PC games such as 'Company of Heroes' or the 'Warhammer 40,000 - Dawn of War' games to gain enough points to oust your opponent.

The gameplay and graphics are actually top notch although the C&C game concept of NOD and GDI is actually giving me the impression of getting quite stale and recycled. There are a fair share of new units but none of them really struck me as impressive. Still, the new control point system means that the action is fast-paced and you would have to fan out to conquer more areas rather than accumulate units within your own base for the decisive strike.

If you have gotten the first two games - 'Tiberian Wars' and 'Kane's Wrath' and have been following the saga since the days when Westwood Studios was still around, you could do yourself a favor by getting this game as this concludes the Kane saga which spans more than a decade ago since the first game in 1996.

C&C epic fall the first time
The single player missions and story line was entirely disappointing. No more fun on harvesting and base buildings. Although the multiplayer gameplay are fun but this is without doubt that the C&C has fail.
