Original soundtrack goodness
Like the other two above myself have written, this is a great collection! While preferring the Hard Rock cd, there is a time and place for the Soft Rock. Both are imbued with the classic 80s feel and awesome saxaphone.

Amazing Music from an Amazing Anime
I'm a fan of Detective Conan, and one of the things that I enjoyed in the series is the music, specifically its background music. And with the "Detective Conan TV Original Soundtrack Selection Best" album, I'm able to enjoy a huge number of these musical pieces.
To be honest, I haven't really seen much of the newer episodes of Detective Conan that actually utilized these musical pieces. However, a lot of them are just updated renditions of the original instrumental music, and it was quite a wonderful experience to hear these new renditions and compare it with what I had used to hear. This was very much evident with the very first song in the album, the main theme of Detective Conan.
What's also nice about this item is that it sorted out to rock music (Hard Tunes) from the mellow music (Soft Tunes) through two discs. That way, you can have that sense of excitement in one disc and have a more relaxing and reflective experience in the other disc.
So if you're a fan of the series and you're a fan of its music, you're gonna enjoy this album. And just like the previous reviewer said, you can still enjoy this album if you're simply a lover of good music. Heck, I can see myself probably using this album for my own cafe someday, provided that it's okay for me to do so.

Detective Conan TV Original SOuntrack Selection Best
I love the music from the Detective Conan TV series and this cd has a great selection of recognisable pieces from the show. It is a bit sad that none of the opening and ending songs from the series are included with all the tracks being instrumental but all the tracks are highly enjoyable. If your a fan of the show or just a fan of great music, this is a good one for your collection.
