  • DiRT 3 puts players in the racing boots of a professional motorsports athlete. The beaten up RV of DiRT 2 is a thing of the past as gamers compete against stars including Ken Block and Kris Meeke across a range of racing and driving disciplines at spectacular locations across the world
  • After consulting fan-feedback, reviews and performing exhaustive data mining, the standout event from DiRT 2, Rally, returns with more than double the amount of content. Multi-stage rallies are set at classic locations from the traditional rally heartland of Scandinavia to the jungles of Kenya and the forests of Europe and the USA, taking players to the most dramatic, inhospitable and exciting terrain on the planet where only the most fearless drivers race
  • For the first time in the DiRT series, players will enjoy the unique and exhilarating spectacle of racing on snow. A highly advanced particle and physics model powers snow that builds up on the track, wheel tread and the car as it falls more heavily throughout the race. As players drive they will feel the change in the handling as the snow compacts at different rates depending on your speed, angle and cornering. This highly- advanced and best-in-class feature delivers truly jaw-dropping visual and performance effects
  • Building on the technology implemented in F1 2010™, DiRT 3 has a fully dynamic weather system that will dramatically affect your racing experience and allows players to race at night, further extending the replay value on DiRT 3’s 100+ routes
  • As well as extensive Online multiplayer options for up to 8 players, DiRT 3 will introduce split-screen multiplayer gaming allowing players to race against each other on the same TV. All disciplines are available, including gymkhana, and are complimented by all new Party Modes which will increase the pass the pad appeal of the game

I don't like racing games normaly
Nope, if I'm not blasting terrorists or zapping aliens I usually would say I'm out of my element. In fact I would say the only driving I do is when I'm running hoods down in GTA and that is usually on the footpath.
So it is a strange reason for me to begin to even review this game, where to begin?
I bought this game out of a reaction to all my other games really as i just wanted change from the above. I remembered the 90's being dominated for a while with good driving games like Mario Cart, WRC, Colin Mcrae and even Crash Team Racing etc and I wanted to relive a little of that I guess.
Since then the car game has evolved and I didn't like the idea of getting all car nerd with games like GT5. I don't have the hours left in my life. I don't want to tinker I want to drive. I don't want to spend my time under the hood in a menu garage fidgeting with this and that. I just want to drive.
I want to drive different types of races in loads of different environments. I want to drive now. But I want a realistic experience and potentially I want a game that won't let me get bored in the future if I decide to nerd out. Oh and I want to win as I'm rubbish at driving games.
So Dirt 3 came up and I have to say that it's a drivers game that also appeals to the non-drivers (like me)out there. It get's you behind the wheel as soon as you turn it on. I'm already winning races and buying my way into new teams. Loads of cars both new and classic. In fact it's daunting how many hours if I had them I could spend unlocking cars or downloading them. Each car i have driven is unique in it's driving and it's feel. Oh and they smash real good to :) The sound and Graphics are top notch and I kind of wish I had a drivers wheel for the full experience. The environments are super realistic and for more interactive than I would have expected. Especially as I spend a lot of time rapped around trees.
So in conclusion, for me it's early days for this game but I highly recommend it if you just want to pick up an play and not waste time in menu's (which have been beautifully designed mind you) also I imagine seeing all the other difficulty settings, that experienced drivers will get a load out of it as well. Loads of game depth here.
For a driving game I would say that this is the best for the non-drivers.

Best Rally Game at the moment
The game is absolutelly gorgeous, BUT, the VIP Passcode (wich is what ENABLES MULTIPLAYER) does NOT work in a region different than the one you bought the game. I think that should have been a bit clearer... other than that, amazing. Great fun.
