abundance of humour
Not subtle and fourth wall breaking antic is what you come to expect from the Disgaea franchise, but there has never been a Visual Novel in the series to enjoy previously. A refreshing spinoff, which is enjoyable but fails to provide the same addiction as the main series.

Different Disgaea!!
When I first started playing Disgaea: Infinite, I was expecting typical Disgaea fare: a turn based JRPG with an over-the-top story and plenty of hilarious Prinny antics. However, though the game delivered on the last two elements, the JRPG elements were completely removed.
Disgaea Infinite has a bit more meat on its bones by offering users different methods to reach a variety of endings that feature other NIS characters.
Utilizing time travel is a key component of the gameplay. Because Prinny did not witness the explosion he must journey to the preceding hours to discover what really happened. To accomplish this, the magical watch also allows Prinny’s soul to possess anyone the player encounters while trying to unscramble the mystery. Mind control is done with the tap of a shoulder button. This way you can follow any character and discover what they have been up to and who they were talking to before the attempt on Laharl’s life. If that sounds convoluted, that's because it is.

If you are looking a game then don't buy Disgaea Infinite because it's visual novel with a frustrating "trial and error system"

Disgaea Infinite is worth a buy if you don't expect it to be anything but a visual novel. The story and humor is still there.

Nice & Funny
If you are a fan of Disgaea and want to get more insight into its back story, grab this game right now. Granted, it's not the usual SJRPG fare, but it is still quite enjoyable. Also, the US version includes both Japanese and English languages.
