The gauge goes up as you get showered by bullets, time everything right and do a hyper counter when the gauge maxes up, and everything on screen turns into items. To gain more, you'll have to put yourself into the path of even more bullets.

Challenging SHMUP!!!
Be prepared to put your skills to the test. Though shooter with very nice graphics. Serious shooter fans should definately invest in this one.

Even if you already own DDP DFK 1.5, it's a must have !
It's most challenging than DFK 1.5, the soundtrack is far better, and the gameplay based on "Rank control" makes it look like a new game on his own !

Better, harder!
Already another Dodonpachi, with the harder difficulty Black Label and the new "Ketsui" Mode. If you like manik shooter, go go go!
