Greatest 3D platformer ever!
Donkey Kong 64 is probably one of my most favorite and memorable games for the Nintendo 64! This game is very simple to play and figure out! You really don't need to know any Japanese to play this game.

The levels are really quite large and very well designed. My personal favorite is the Angry Aztec level followed by the Frantic Factory stage! The main world also acts as a level select screen similar to Super Mario 64, but a much larger scale! There is so much exploring to be done in this game for the regular bananas where each monkey gets 100 per stage. There are also 5 golden bananas per stage. The main objective is to collect as many normal bananas as you can to open the boss door. The other objective is to get as many golden bananas as you can to get to the next stages. The layout is great. You can get a golden banana and keep playing the level until you feel like leaving unlike Super Mario 64.

The music is definitely something else! Each level has like 15 songs that go with it. You have the main stage theme and difrferent versions that play depending on where you are standing such as like being outside or in a cave. There are well over 100 songs in this game which are all very catchy!

The boss battles may be simple, but feel very intense like the fight against the dragonfly and the mad jack-in-the-box boss. Each character fights their own boss depending on the level. 4 monkeys fight 1 boss, Donkey Kong fights 2 bosses.

There's really nothing else that I can say for this game that hasn't already said. The $30 I spent on this game is like a bargain and a half! It's THAT good! You won't be disappointed!
