Item Description

This is the first collection of works by Enya Honami, whose "Sento Zukai" (Public Bath Illustrations), which depicts the inside of public baths, became a hot topic and was featured in many media outlets, including TBS's "Jonetsu Tairiku." The book features a wide range of works, from a series of works depicting public baths and bathing facilities all over Japan, to works depicting restaurants and other shops, offices, entertainment facilities, and a series of works depicting famous architecture. Enya Honami measures the buildings and facilities he is drawing and uses an architectural drawing method called isometrics to depict the space in three dimensions. The method is also explained. In addition to simply depicting the inside of the buildings, the people who live there also have their own little stories, which is also part of the appeal of his works.
