Great classic games, poor execution
This product contains both Age of Empires I and II with their respective expansion packs in one DVD. Also included is the Age of Empires compilation sound track in .wav files. The game play is great, with Age II being much better than Age I. While the graphics of Age I does seem rather dated, it is still a fun game that works perfectly at least up to Windows XP. The real problem with this compilation is Age II. The DVD doesn't contain the Red Book audio tracks for in game music. So there is no background music in Age II. The publisher was just too lazy to make a proper DVD version and just copied everything into a DVD. The only way to get in game music is to burn the wav files in the disc to an audio CD. Besides the lack of background music there is nothing different from this version of Age II and the usual CD version.
