Hyun-min (Shin Hyun-jun) is a leading face reconstruction specialist, helping investigators identify murder victims by studying the features of their skulls. But he is losing his enthusiasm for the job because his daughter, Gin, is severely ill after a heart transplant. Sun-young (Song Yon-ah), a young and attractive employee of the National Institute of Scientific Investigation, brings the skull of the serial killer’s fourth victim to Hyun-min. With the arrival of the skull, Hyun-min begins to hear unbearably loud screams and has visions of a distraught long-haired woman in a white robe. --- The long-haired ghost is back again… Simply put, FACE is an interesting yet highly unoriginal ghost story. Billed as a horror movie, the ghost plays such a minor role and just feels like padding in the films mystery storyline. I personally think the film would have been much better as a thriller with a living nemesis, with the leads having to quickly identify the skull of the victim and discover a link between the victims to track down the killer who actually turns out to be someone you didn’t expect, now that would’ve been cool. Anyway what we have here is essentially a mystery with a romance in between and some minor haunting early on. Minus the addition of a ghost and you actually have quite a thoughtful romance and interesting mystery movie. Jimmy Wang

If you are familiar with Face, why not let others know?

It\'s just too boring
this movie isnt very scary at all.
the mystery element is ruined by too much romantic fluff between the two leads, who curn out less than average performances.
The ghost is a total rip off from all those other movies that acually achieved decent scares with the same ghost, ie Ju-on, The Ring, A Tale of Two Sisters. The difference between these other movies is that they achieve results by varying the ghost and its background history to make it extra chilling. Face just has a no name ghost who is boring and bland and just there, it has no real purpose and the film wold\'ve been better without it.
A dissapointment from Korea.
