Item Description

Ganbare Goemon is the first action/adventure game in the long-running Goemon/Legend of the Mystical Ninja series. Players take control of Goemon as he steals from the rich and gives to the poor, while eluding government forces. In each level, he must find three tickets in order to progress. Some tickets may be bought with the money taken from foes, but often they are hidden in 3D mazes or underground lairs. The game is tough, but a wide variety of power-ups may be purchased in shops to make things easier. Your progress is saved when you die, and your high score is now remembered as well.

Great to see where the series came from.
Wow, the first Goemon game, and I\'m playing it! Too bad it isn\'t 2-player like Legend of the Mystical Ninja was. Still fun to beat up bad guys, collect money, and try to find the exit. There\'s an annoying timer that will definitely kill you sometimes, as well as cheap hits from some of the enemies. With so many hidden (but required) pathways and the countdown timer, Goemon is too hard for portable gaming. Still a great time, if you play at home and map everything. Glad it saves your level progress and high score too!
