Today we will be showing off some of Berserk and the Band of the Hawk’s DLC costumes that will be available to purchase after release.

First piece of DLC costume information is for Guts the Black Swordsman; you will be able to purchase his Victory Clothing (worn after the Capture of Doldrey in Volume 8 of the Manga).

So far there are plans for two DLC costumes for Casca; one is the Guts Shirt costume & the other is her Winter Clothing costume (what she wore again Volume 8 after Guts left the Band of the Hawk).

Shierke too will have one being her street urchin costume and the other being a Golem costume (an original costume based on the Golems from the Mansion of the Spirit Tree).

Four different horse costumes will be available as DLC too! First up is Berserker Armor Horse Edition, Lubu’s, from Romance of the Three Kingdoms, beloved horse "Red Hare", Maeda Keiji’s, from the Japanese Warring States Period, partner/horse "Matsukaze" and finally a Unicorn!

Famitsu Impressions:

If someone said “What kind of system would be perfect for a Berserk game?” I don’t think I’ll be the only one who would answer “Well KOEI’s Warriors series of course!”, the gameplay feels how the characters would actually battle, the setting and everything looks like it was brought to life perfectly straight from the manga!!

At the beginning of the game you get to experience the Golden Age Arc and of course you’ll be taking on only humans which makes it feel like a normal addition to the Warriors series, however, demonic enemies appear alongside the Apostles that is when the “Berserk-ness” feeling begins to grow rapidly! Just fighting against these behemoth-sized Apostles is extremely entertaining!

The game’s action against smaller enemies is like a Warriors games creating combos such as Square -> Square -> Triangle, it’s something you’re used to yet it feels a lot more exciting ploughing through hordes of enemies and as I previously mentioned going toe to toe against Apostles.

As you would expect Guts moves quite slow and heavy, but that doesn’t make it bad at all, in fact, the movement is done just right as Guts movement and attacks feel perfect for his character and it doesn’t take too long to get adjusted to. Due to the changes between characters, even if you are more of a fan of more agile characters you can choose from players such as Casca or Judeau!
