Mt. Hikami was once worshiped as a sacred place where a unique religion was taught.
The water on this mountain is believed to house spirits, and there is a teaching from this region that “humans are born from water and return to it at the end of their lives.”
As a result, “people looking for death” come to this mountain and experience their last moments while they come in contact with the mountain’s water. They believe this is the proper way to end their lives.
Several peculiar rituals and customs still exist on this mountain, and many bizarre and unfortunate occurrences have supposedly taken place here.
This story takes place on Mt. Hikami, a mountain believed to be a sacred place and revolves around Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo, and Miu Hinasaki who act as the three protagonists whose stories are interwoven in this mysterious and dream-like tale.

Nice game.
This game scares me enough some times. Look great on Switch. Intriguing story with lots of details. the sound and its quality immerse you in the atmosphere like never before. Recommended.

Fantastic, albeit twisted, survival horror game
Can confirm, this game does support English. Yes, you need to download a small patch but once you do, it's playable in English out the gate. This is a fantastic game from start to finish, I enjoyed it immensely and feel that gameplay wise, it is the best game in the series. Story wise, it can get a little goofy and make you scratch your head with some of the side stories. However, in the end it comes together very well. The final boss battle in particular is extremely satisfying. You need to use what you've learned throughout the game in order to do battle, but it is worth it. The game also has multiple endings, warranting multiple play throughs. I waited seven years to play this game, due to the absence of a physical Wii U version and the system being region locked. Can safely say it was worth the wait. If you like survival horror, and love a good story? I can safely say this is a no-brainer. Get this game!

Love the physical release!
So happy to own the physical copy of this lovely game! Was definitely worth special ordering it, I'll cherish it forever, or as long as my switch lasts, whichever comes first. Graphics are great and the controls are sharp, a fun game to pass around with friends and get spooked out to.

So happy for the physical release!
This is legit the spookiest game of the series. I'm so glad I got the physical version! The story of the shrines on the old mountain is incredibly vivid, the new ghost designs are fantastic, and the Fatal Glance mechanic is great. The only thing I can complain about is the escort mechanics, but they're way better than most escort quests!
