Fences

賽 (丹素華盛頓 飾) 因年輕時行差踏錯，今天只能當個垃圾車雜工，賺取微薄的薪酬過活，幸有愛妻露絲 (維奧拉戴維斯 飾) 不離不棄同甘共苦。可是，賽跟兩名兒子的關係並不和諧 - 夢想成為音樂家的長子不時回家借錢，總被老父教訓說他不務正業；在棒球上頗具天賦的二子，又因被老父阻撓導致關係破裂！而一直默默堅守好母親、好太太位置的露絲，得知丈夫在外面拈花惹草，還誕下了私生女之後，亦將內心鬱結一次過爆發出來……
