Could be better
It was a great game and like others said before me it was kinda short but after i unlocked all of the extra stuff i actually played through the game 3, 4, 5 times on easy and then hard. The only thing i didnt like is that you need the other FMA games to unlock the rest of the gallery -_-; After i beat it i didnt play it again because it kinda reminded me of Streets Of Rage XD I loved the in-game movies though!

It could have been better...
Its ok, you have alot of fun playing it, but there is TOO MUCH TALKING AND NOT ENOUGH PLAYING! There is more dialog than actual game play! But when you do get to play, its alot fo fun.

Dear god!! this is an offence to my favourite anime!!
I am a huge fan of this series and I figured I would be best suited to get the most enjoyment out of it. Fans of the show will not like this and they are the ones who will like it most. For starters the gameplay is very basic and tedious with very little variety. The story is supposed to follow the anime but it skips over what could be potentially great levels and it skips over some of the best moments of the series. The boss battles provide some relief from the relentless button mashing but these are still tedious. The unlockable character mode does provide some variety but not enough to keep me interested. It has some quirky features including some fun minigames but a lack of multiplayer support makes these dull very quickly. All in all this game makes very little use of the ds\' capabilities, it could easily be played on a GBA, and what should have been a pretty good beat em up with varied alchemy attacks and a fantastic storyline is a sub-par beat em up with a butchered story and not mush variety with the attacks, avoid.

Not a bad game at all
This game at the price you buy it from at play-asia is a great buy i live in the uk and have no idea what Full Metal Alchamist is about but it looked cool so i bought it. The game play is ok with the addition of cool alchemist features on the touch screen to help you in battle, some times it can feel easy but other times your left to think of weak points and how to aviod getting killed easily. The storys a really good one and its explained really well with pictures, text and sometimes voice overs from the series. Additional features include mini games which are great fun and the ability to go through the game in other characters story once completing the game for addition play (they also have there own alchemist features which when unlocked can be used via the main character). This game reaaalllly makes me want to watch the tv series.
