The best thing in "Gambler's Delight" stems from the performance from Chen Ping who plays an expert japanese gambling crime boss, who can outwit any casino game system resulting in high winnings and her confident attitude as well as her charm. Danny Lee plays the casino's fraud security bureau, who suspect Chen Ping of cheating and vows to bring her and the organization down. Unfortunately he ends up losing a bet to her and eventually she owns the right to the decaptitation of his hand. Danny enlist the help of his buddy played mischievously by Tsung Hua, who bring along his expert gambling clan in an attempt to outwit Chen Ping's Japan gang. The premise of this film deals with the expert Chinese gambling syndicate challenging and outwitting The Japanese gambling syndicate, which actually contain some innovative scenes of the art of gambling. But what negatively affects the film is the horrendous quick cuts which makes the scenes awkward, incomplete and lack continuity. It is possible that the original footage has been destroyed so the editor decides to piece whatever was available to tell the story. If only Celestial had manage to issue the uncut version of this film, I would have given it a 4 star review.
