Game Cube™ Japanese Import Game outlook for April: Giftpia, GT Cube, Dokapon DX & Naruto

Here is a summary of all Japanese Game Cube™ titles to be released in the following month. No real blockbuster are expected, however there might be some interesting picks for one or another:

Dokapon DX

Dokapon DX is a board game with RPG elements. This is the sequel of Dokapon Legend IV from 1993. The game features both battle mode and story mode. In the story mode your mission is to defend the Dokapon kingdom and battle against the enemies. The battle mode supports up to 4 players simultaneously.

Dokapon DX from Asmik Ace sees release in Japan on April 10th, preorders are now welcome for US$ 59.90.

Naruto is a cel-shaded beat 'em up based around the manga/anime series of the same name. The title looks very interesting and might be worth for fans of the Anime series as well as Japanese fighting fans. Preorders for this title from Tomy are now welcome at US$ 59.90. Release date is April 11th.

GT Cube

GT Cube is a cel-shaded racing game which is based on the GT Advance series for GameBoy Advance. Unlike Capcom's Auto Modellista, GT Cube uses cel-shaded vehicles and regular 3D textured backgrounds, this is intended to make the vehicles stand out from the background. The game has over 20 race courses, each with variable weather conditions. You can also collect different kinds of gear parts and customize your vehicles.

GT Cube from MTO will be released on April 24th for a price of US$ 59.90.

Giftpia takes the player to Nanashi, Island of Gods and focuses on the interaction between the protagonist and the island's inhabitants. Due to getting up late, he misses the Adult Ceremony, which would have made him an adult. In order to participate in a second ceremony, he has to save up to 5 million Mane and cooperate with the island's inhabitants.

Giftpia from Nintendo of Japan will be released on April 25th, preorders are priced US$ 54.90 only.
