Item Description

This 'Prince of Darkness' has taken away the Golden Axe and put an evil curse over all the warriors. However, one of the heroes has their curse relieved and is sent to set things straight - lift curse off others, defeat the villian and return with the Golden Axe.The gameplay has been expanded slightly, but is essentially the same hack n' slash as the previous games. New features to the series include new characters, new moves and junction points where you can choose which path to take.

Golden Axe III
Having never being released here in Australia (other than compiled in the Sega Mega Drive Collection on PS3), I grabbed the chance to own a Mega Drive copy. Original manual, cartridge and slick all in near mint condition. A must have for any Golden Axe fan.

Golden Axe III
This game never saw a US release until 2006 as part of the Sega Genesis collection on PS2 now it's on Sonics Ultimate Genesis collection on PS3 X Box 360 I have the Megadrive cartridge and use my Game Genie as a bypass. They changed a lot from GA II to GA III some was good some bad I like the combat system and I do like how you can choose your own route. The graphics yes look like Master System graphics but the sprites and animations are very very good. The magic system went back to the Golden Axe 1 system Guilus Thunderhead the dwarf is just a supporting character Ax Battler gone in Kain Grinder Tyrus Flare gone in Sarah Vane. A cat humanoid is a new character and another Barbarian takes his place he looks like a village people reject. But The storyline was good it's still Golden Axe it has replay value becuse of path choices and such hey and if you like beat em ups it's D**n sure worth a peek becuse it's fun game and still is Golden Axe.
