Not Yoshie's Best but still worth a listen
Kashiwabara Yoshie's career was never quite as successful as her contemporaries Kawaii Naoko or Matsuda Seiko. Her voice is the weakest of the three but she does have the gift of interpretation. Her earlier singles were all very good songs to start with (especially her Nakajima Miyuki penned numbers) and she made them come alive with her sensitive interpretation.
This collection of her TOSHIBA-EMI period is marred by so-so song-writing and dated (even at the time) arrangements. Most of the songs are really quite forgettable.
Good tracks are tracks 1, 4 & 18.
For the hard-core fans since her TOSHIBA-EMI days have not been well documented.
