Badly Rendered
Unlike the other games in the series, this one usually does not take itself too seriously thanks in part to a refreshingly snide main character, and a superb localization. All characters are well acted, the dialogue well written, and combat and game balance much improved over the original Grandia.
Just be sure to *not* play the Playstation 2 version, not that it could even be considered "playable" to begin with thanks to its inexcusable slowdown and graphical glitches with what simple graphics that it sports. The Dreamcast or the PC versions are much more capable to run the game, so give those a go if either of those are an option for you.

This was one of the greatest games that I have played: By far! It has a wonderful cast of charaters, cute graphics, fun battle system, and an AMAZING plot! I would recommend this to any true RPG fan. It\'s difficulty is... Average. It\'s certanly no Final fantasy seven when it comes to boss battles, but I still played it until my eyes began to cross.
