Intro Feature: Imai's "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross".
So far, this magazine has featured plastic model products from the 80's anime produced by Sunrise, such as "Space Runaway Ideon" and "Aura Battler Dunbine," and have been well received. This time, we will take up "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" which was a big hit in the early 1980s. The "Macross" plastic model series was initially jointly developed by two companies, Imai and Arii. In particular, Imai products had a deep understanding of the concept of anime design and boasted exceptional quality like scale models. Therefore, in this special feature, we will collect only Imai products (more than 20 types in total) and thoroughly review the splendor of their product specifications. We will approach the essence of design that can be understood only because it is a plastic model!
