Despite being advertised as a Region A disc, this one is technically region free and the movie itself will play on any bluray player. However, a Region A player is required to have access to all of the bonus content, which lead to the conclusion that some of the bonus features are region-locked.
These features were "missing" from the menu when tested on a Region B player: commentary, the hour- long "making of" documentary and the Dawn of the Dragon Racers short film.
I have other Dreamworks Animation films (those released by Fox) behaving the same way. Just putting this out there for people to consider before deciding that they got a faulty disc.
That being said, this film is amazing. Bigger, grander, darker and better. I say bring on Dragon 3!
