Information on the delayed shipping of the US version Nintendo Wii U consoles - Please accept our apologies for your inconvenience!

Dear Customer,

The Nintendo Wii U is scheduled for a US release on 18th November, perhaps nobody has accurately predicted its popularity, all consoles have been snapped up in a blink of an eye. According to news agencies Wii U consoles were sold out nationwide in the US and all stock was depleted on release day.

Stock allocated by overseas suppliers and the distribution network had been put on hold until more stock is available. Play-Asia.com have tried to obtain consoles through retail channels by sending people to shops in the US on the 18th without success. The Wii U consoles are all taken, and in the auction houses the consoles have sold for as high as US$500.

Much to our regret we don't have any confirmation as to when we will receive the first US version Wii U consoles. Please rest assured, however, as soon as the first batch of consoles leaves the US bound to Hong Kong, we will send your console to you as soon as possible.

We apologize for the delay caused by insufficient stock and keep our fingers crossed that the next batch of US Wii U consoles is destined for worldwide distribution.

For all our customers planning to purchase the Japanese version of the Wii U, it will be available on 8th December, and so far we have not been informed about any stock shortages on release date.
