I\'m a fan of Mai-HiME, the only reason why I got this
The game itself being a fighting game really felt dumbed down. The controls are a bit slow to react due to the character\'s clunky movements. Graphics-wise i\'ll give it a 7 out of 10, as it could really look better after more time in development, but at least it\'s not close of being an eye-sore.

as for following storyline and theme, Bekuretsu! did really well though. this title covers i believe the first half of the Mai-HiME season, so the character list is a tad short of complete. Senretsu! is the one if you\'re looking for the whole package. I just wish Senretsu! is in stock here...

So just like i said, i got this game because im a really big fan of Mai-HiME, but don\'t expect a fighting game experience like many popular ones out there. this is no soulcalibar. I have a history of collecting games that were made after anime series that I like.

Horrible fighting game
I really wanted to like this title, but sadly I cannot.

The controls are clunky and unresponsive, the character animations are stiff and robotic, the cel shading is \"ok\" but still subpar for such an established medium. The Story mode reads like a manga with scenes from the anime and maybe a playable fight or two per chapter, seemingly thrown in as an afterthought.

This game could benefit from some more time spent in development to improve the animation and controls to speed up the pace of the gameplay.

I give it 2 stars because at least it\'s pretty to look at, even if it is painful to play.
