May/June ENG Releases: Moe Chronicle, SAO: Lost Song, DMC: 4 Special Edition!

PlayStation®Vita [Dungeon Crawler]

Release: May 5, 2015

Moe Chronicle is Compile Heart's Dungeon RPG follow-up to Genkai Toki Monster Monpiece - including Compile Heart's risqué, and apt, description of a "rubbing, pinching, panty-wearing RPG." Okay, so we have an idea of what we should expect.

The story follows Io, a young boy troubled by his profane and arguably perverted thoughts, which a`ffects his ability to comfortably interact with the opposite sex.

His relationship with his confidant and only real friend, a beautiful monster girl named Lilia, creates some tension when the world starts experiencing natural disasters and hostility from the other monster girls!

With rumors of a "Legendary Monster Girl" bent on world destruction starts to circulate, mankind is forced to take a stand. Io must now investigate the origins of the occuring phenomena, taking his childhood monster girl friend along with him on a sexy adventure into the world of monsters.

Featuring a classic 3D dungeon crawling JPRG experience with a lot of fanservice, players will be able to delve deeply into dungeons with a party of gorgeous anime styled monster girls and engage in exciting tactical battle with a focus like no other game; players can target and exploit the weak spots of enemy monster girls, with an outfit degradation mechanic accompanied with an appropriate animation.

PlayStation®Vita PlayStation®3 [RPG]

Release: May 12, 2015

As Bandai Namco revealed the development of Sword Art Online: Lost Song to the world, there was one question that many people asked: when will we be able to play an English version of the game? Worry no more, you can now pre-order SoA with English subtitles for both PS3 and PSV!

Sword Art Online: Lost Song will take place on Svart ALfheim, a mysterious new floating continent that comes bundled as a game update to the ALfheim Online virtual reality. Svart ALfheim will reportedly be a vast continent with a variety of zone types including plains, deserts, and tundra, amongst others. Each area can be freely explored on foot or by air.

The combat in Lost Song is now split between land and air battles, which will greatly affect the way players fight. Land battles will be the primary way to do battle in dungeons, but outside of them players can choose to switch between the two combat styles.

Air battles turn player focus to maneuverability, allowing them to make use of the multiple axes during aerial combat and the strategy they bring. The ability to autoattack is removed in air battles, but players can choose to have lock-on targeting deactivated which will allow them to attack any part of an enemy's body.

Lost Song also marks the first instance in a Sword Art Online title where players will be able to choose to play as someone other than Kirito! Whether or not this means players will be able to customize their own avatars is not yet known. Parties in Lost Song will also have a capacity of three characters, of which the player will be able to choose.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song will feature cooperative online multiplayer. Players will be able to choose their character and log in to a 16 person tavern lobby, where up to four players can form a party and embark on difficult quests that will present players with even greater rewards.

PlayStation®4 XboxONE™ [Hack 'N' Slash]

Release: June 18, 2015

For the uninitiated, the original Devil May Cry series brought forward the idea of playing with SSStyle; with breakneck speeds, intricate and acrobatic combos, perfect controls, and an intense presentation filled with the Capcom-esque grit reflecting the trends of the time, Devil May Cry is a direct influence to many of today's similar titles.

Seven years after the original launch, Capcom is bringing back Devil May Cry 4 - the publisher's first PS3 title with Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. On the PS4 and Xbox ONE, with a treatment similar to their recent revival with Resident Evil: HD Remaster, DMC4: SE will have new game modes, gameplay and visual improvements, and perhaps the most exciting aspect for fans, the largest playable roster in any DMC game yet!

Speaking of the roster, fan favorite Vergil is playable, with his appearance based on his rendition from Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition. Gameplay wise, a new mechanic is introduced known as "Concentration", which complements Vergil's iajutsu style rewarding players with progressively stronger attacks when fights are executed calmly without the dependency of button mashing. This combined with the "Grim Trick" teleport ability and Devil Mode, will not only challenge veterans and newcomers alike, but offer a distinct experience separating Vergil from both DMC mains Dante and Nero.
