Will quiet your voice, but....
Not really for it's purpose. You can't record with it, and there isn't enough space, to properly catch the tone of your voice, to help you learn how to sing properly; especially loud.
I kept mine, as a way to block sounds from getting to the mic, not the other way around; since it is only 20 dollars.
