Very unfriendly to those that don't know the sport.
This game looks amazing, plays amazing and is considered the greatest baseball game ever released. I'm sure it's all that. I certainly had amazing fun playing the Home Run Derby mode.
Having said all that, if you do not know anything about the sport of baseball and don't intend to invest time to learn avoid.
Simply put, baseball is a somewhat complicate sport to a foreigner, like myself. I didn't know the rules at all, except hit the ball. Also, because it's a sport simulation and MLB is known for it's depth you need to know more than the rules to get the most out of it.
Now, why this is an issue is down to the game being very unfriendly to people like me or people who don't play the sport. Zero tutorial on the rules, tactics, mechanics. You go into this game either a baseball veteran or you prepare to invest a few hours learning the rules and some more hours getting a feel for the sport.
If you're into baseball, it's the greatest simulation of the sport ever seen.
