Not really the same songs, but good
The arrangements for the orchestra were a bit... different. I don't know if it was just a weird recording or what, but for many songs it seemed to focus on certain instruments that were in the background of the game version. You could still recognize the song but its likely that it won't feel the same.
That being said, some of them are made 10 times more epic because of this... Monoblos' theme is just amazing, and I repeatedly listen to Naruga's theme whenever I get to it on the CD.
That brings me to another point... The songs are grouped in tracks, so unless you like to fast-forward a CD (yeah.. what?) it can be annoying to get to the song you wanted to listen to.

Must have for lovers of game orchestrations
Even with only a passing familiarity with Monster Hunter's acclaimed music, I absolutely fell in love with this orchestral adaptation on first listening. Both the epic and homely tracks are handled with finesse in one of the finest performances I've heard for some time. Most are purely orchstral, with some choral backing, except for the last track which is a beautiful vocal ballad. Average track length is about four minutes, giving you over 50 minutes of absolutely top-shelf music. My only criticism is that the included booklet is a little thin at only eight pages.
