I was expecting something more picture oriented, but maybe I just wasn't aware of what kind of book this really is. There are some character detail sketches in the beginning of the book, and the rest (in Japanese) goes on to describe each episode of the first season, plus what I believe are the first few of the second. If I read Japanese, I would thoroughly enjoy it, along with the black and white screen caps for each episode. But as is, I'm not liking it as much as I could otherwise. If you can read Japanese and enjoy episode reviews, you'll enjoy this book ^^

I admit that I've never played the games, but having seen the anime, I decided to try out the official comics and see how they were. I am very glad I did so, because they were a lot of fun to read! From my knowledge of the anime, the artists stayed pretty true to the characters, and their art was very good. A few were cutesy, a few were edgy, but overall I liked them all. Definitely a must have for any Sengoku Basara fan!
