Nowhere near as bad as other reviews say, but definitely not as good as Breaker 3.
The price was right and the craving for more Gundam Breaker was enough for me to take a chance on this even though I've heard nothing but negative things about it. I definitely see the issues, but it is still a decent game with a lot of replayability if you can deal with the changes from Breaker 3. The game moves much slower compared to 3 (which is weird, because if they were trying to give weight to the Gunpla, 1/144 are incredibly light), which is jarring at first. You have a wider selection of abilities compared to 3, and can switch out parts in the middle of battle which you couldn't do in 3. Another difference is instead of just collecting parts you break off other Gundam, you can only hold 5 at a time in this game so you have to make trips to your teams storage box to deposit them. This can get really hectic when you're in the middle of the bunch of missions you have to do at the same time during a stage, but it wasn't a make or break change for me. I like the concept, since you can swap out one of those 5 parts if it is better than one you have equipped at the moment. In 3 you would have an objective for a level, in this game you typically have around 5 or so minutes to accomplish an overall objective and then a lot of mini-objectives (like destroy 20 Guntanks or destroy a Nobel Gundam and deposit the legs in your team's storage box). It can get overwhelming, especially with all the chaos on screen at the same time, but once you get used to it it can be pretty fun. Overall, it isn't bad, but start with Gundam Breaker 3 first, then if you are looking for more come back to this game.
