New Japanese PS2™ imports: Aerobics Revolution out - DDRMAX2 7th Mix preorders open

After yesterday's well anticipated releases of Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution and especially Final Fantasy X-2, a few more Japanese PlayStation2™ import titles have been released today, among them Konami's Aerobics Revolution.

Aerobics Revolution

In Aerobics Revolution, similar to the Dance Dance Revolution series, you play Aerobics (instead of dancing), using the Dance Dance Revolution dancing mat controller. You can also keep track of the amount calories you spent and your diet supplement with this game, as well as setting up your own exercise schedule. More information can be obtained from Konami's official website (in Japanese only though!)

Aerobics Revolution might certainly not become that hit breaker outside of Japan, however it may still be interesting for every dancing game hardcore freak. Aerobics Revolution is now available for US$ 54.90.

DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix

Speaking about dancing titles, preorders for Konami's latest PlayStation2™ sequel of their famous DDR series -DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix- are now welcome. This Arcade conversion features a new Challenge Mode as well as tons of new and old songs from Captain Jack, 2 Unlimited, Bellini and many more. Hours of great party sessions are guaranteed with this title.

DDRMAX2 Dance Dance Revolution 7th Mix is shipping on April 24th, make your reservation for only US$ 59.90 now!

For all fans of this genre, just a small reminder that Play-Asia is supplying great third party manufactured Dancing Mats as well as Dancing Stations suitable for the PSOne™, PlayStation2™ as well as the good old Dreamcast™.

For rookies or just giving it a try, we suggest the standard Dancing Mat (PS™/PS2™ compatible for $9.90 only) or Dancing Mat with Disco Light (PS™/PS2™ and PC compatible for $12.90 respectively). However for the ultimate kick, we highly recommend the Dance Stations (available as either PS™/PS2™ or Dreamcast™ version), which will give a dance feeling similar to real Arcade action. The Dance Stations are priced at $49.00. (Note the relatively high shipping though since those controllers weight almost 10kg each).

Last but not least a quick summary of further titles released today:

  • Dragonball Z: Budokai
  • Angelic Concert
  • Tom Claney's Ghost Recon
  • Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
