The New Nintendo 3DS features a better CPU than previous models allowing for faster eShop browsing and downloading. It comes with a built-in NFC on the bottom touchscreen for the amiibo NFC models.
The device is based on a custom Pica200 graphics processor from a Japanese start-up Digital Media Professionals (DMP). It has two screens; the top screen is a 4.88 in 5:3 3D screen with a resolution of 800x240 pixels (400x240 pixels per eye, WQVGA) that is able to produce a stereoscopic three-dimensional effect without 3D glasses, while the bottom screen is a 4.18 in 4:3 non-3D touch panel with a resolution of 320x240 pixels (QVGA). The 3DS weighs approximately 8 oz. and, when closed, is 5.3 inches wide, 2.9 inches long, and 0.8 inches tall. The system features several additions to the design of the original DS, including a slider on the side of the device that adjusts the intensity of the 3D effect, a round nub analog input called the "Slide Pad", an accelerometer, and a gyroscope. In addition, there is an infra-red communicator port situated on the top of the unit. The 3DS has two cameras on the outside of the device, capable of taking 3D photos and capturing 3D video, as well as a camera positioned above the top screen that faces the player; both cameras have a resolution of 640x480 pixels (0.3 Megapixel). The system also has 3D movie playback capability. Compatible with both Nintendo DS and DSi games, and a new generation of 3DS games.

True Blue and Works Great!
It came just as promised, in a nice shade of blue, nicely packaged, and fully functional with all my US games! Transferring data from my old system was easy too. If blue is your favorite color and you must have your New 3DS XL in it to play your games (and maybe show off a bit) then this is the only legit place you wanna buy from to be sure it will work!

Wonderful Color
I didn't enjoy the colors selection they had for US buyers, and I'm so happy that there was a blue one available that's compatible with north American games.
Aside the color, the console works wonderfully and as expected. My last system couldn't access the e-shop so I'm happy I and do that this time around.

Exactly what you are looking for
If you are wanting a metallic blue 3ds that will play North American release games, this will be exactly what you are expecting! I was worried the whole time it was shipping to me that I was going to get it and ultimately be unable to use it. But, the color is beautiful, and it plays all of my NTSC games with no issues. A bit more expensive than going with the black or red options... but it's so pretty it doesn't matter!

Great colour!
I had been looking at the 3DS consoles for a while but didn't want black or red and was hoping that a blue version would come out for NTSC region. When I found this colour, I bought it immediately and have been very happy with it.

Color we should of got in the first place
So when I saw this I didn't know how they had the new 3ds xl (metallic blue) for the USA. since Nintendo hasn't said we were getting it but I bought it here and have to say it works great works with US games.
