New year release update: Sonic Heroes for all 3 platforms (PS2™/NGC™/Xbox™) shipping - Shipping delays due to Japanese holidays

After the busy Christmas release weeks, the last week has been very calm with just 4 Japanese releases. The major release was Sega's multi platform adventure title Sonic Heroes. Available for all 3 major platforms at US$ 59.90 each:

  • Sonic Heroes (PlayStation2™)
  • Sonic Heroes (Gamecube™)
  • Sonic Heroes (Xbox™)

Additionally one Gameboy Advance™ title from Culturebrain was released on December 30th as well: Wannyan Aidoru Gakuen (freely translated as "Wanyan's Idol School").

The lack of new titles was no surprise but a reason of the Japanese holiday season. Due to the "Golden Week" we are also expecting shipping delays for a few hot titles, which unfortunately includes Tomy's cel-shaded fighting game Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2 for Gamecube™. All pending orders are expected to clear shortly after the holidays, which last until January 8th. Everyone looking for a quick alternative, the title currently appears to be sold out everywhere. New reservations are recommended to be placed as soon as possible.

As a small outlook for next week, we are expecting Sammy's Samurai action game Seven Samurai 20XX as major release, next to the Japanese multi platform releases of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. Additionally for all PC fans we are expecting the Korean budget PC release Metal Slug 4 to be in stock on coming Monday.
