NFL Head Coach
Are you one of those sports gamers who looks forward more to the off-season and team rebuilding than manually playing your way to the Superbowl? If this is you then NFL head coach is right up your alley. A fantastic deep game which gives the user complete control of their favorite team. From hiring and firing, to keeping the players happy and setting up practices to learn those plays. I found that while playing this game I often simulated the games and worked hard on ensuring my team was up to scratch during the week. If you do decide to play the games it is enjoyable to call the perfect play from the sidelines and watch your team run it in for six!
One of my favorite parts of this game are the draft classes, EA have put a lot of effort in to these, and many classic drafts have been recreated, with different names. Look out for Dane Marrow (the new Dan Marino), Jack English (John Elway anyone?) and Ozzie Jones (the next Barry Sanders). The excitement of getting a diamond or bust player is great as is the chance of getting the next sleeper pick.
Overall a great game, not to be judged on graphics or gameplay but more on what it offers for those stats junkies out there. A definite recommendation for your NFL collection
